What is glaucoma?
Glaucoma is a group of diseases that damages your optic nerves and cause visual field defects.

 

What can it do to my vision?

Caution! Glaucoma can make you permanently blind.

 

How will I know that I have glaucoma?

You must make sure you visit to the nearest eye clinic at least every year to screen your eyes for glaucoma.

How long does it take?

It takes a few minutes to get your eye tested. The practitioner may check your system for blood pressure and diabetes.

 

I can't see things from afar or close?

This may mean that you have refractive error. It is not always so. Visit your eye care practitioner to verify.

 

Do I always need to wear glasses?

Refractive error is a vision problem. Glasses or contact lenses are preferable to manage it. Surgery can be done to manage it.

I feel uncomfortable when I walk in the sun?

It means that you are highly sensitive to light. It may also be caused by inflammation. Report to your eye care practitioner.
