About 70 million workers now face vision problems with computer or other digital screens. Electromagnetic radiations from all these screens are very harmful to the eyes and attention must be drawn to this digital problem. Everyone who uses digital devices can attest to this computer vision problem.
COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME is strain on the eyes after viewing on digital screens for longer hours. These screens include smarphones, laptops, desktop computers, PDAs etc.
This is caused by poor room lighting, drawing too close to these screens, high screen brightness, poor sitting posture and failure to blink periodically
Symptoms include blurred vision, Burning sensation, dry eyes, headaches and neck pains
Several interventions like taking breaks, reducing screen brightness and keeping a considerable eye and screen distance have been effective over the years but NOT TO THE EXPECTATION.

Alternatively, there are protective eyeglasses or spectacles called PHOTO-ANTIREFLECTIVE LENSES that have proven very effective to curb this digital canker.
